Mark it in your diaries – 30th November will see Michael Bay’s Transformers 2 arriving on DVD and Blu-ray…

It's expected to be the biggest selling DVD and Blu-ray of the season, and it now seems that those furiously awaiting the arrival of Transformers 2 in their homes have until 30th November to wait. That's the believed release date, according to TheTransformers.Net, for a trio of DVD editions and a single Blu-ray release into the UK.

That would likely mean that the US release is going to fall on 1st December, although that's us doing a little bit of guesswork.

There will, apparently, be a single disc edition, a two disc set and then a DVD double pack of the two Transformers movies. Then, the Blu-ray will be a three-disc affair, one of which is likely to be the ever-popular digital copy.

Cover artwork for the various releases has been circling online for the past few days, and an official announcement is expected in the next few months...

What do you think about a release date for Germany? January, maybe?

I guess I have to watch the Transformers movies someday and maybe I'll go and get the double pack DVD with both of the movies or so. o.o

I don't really know. I hope it doesnt take that long...I just can't wait. Please don't let it be January like with New Moon. Ah I hate that...why can't the release dates be the same everywhere on this world? It's so not fair...

Well I dunno, I have the first one on DVD already. I think I may go with the 2 Disc Edition. Not sure yet tho. If the double pack is awesome I'd go with that.

Uhm I dunno. I like understand it with the cinemas cause of the dubbing and stuff but DVDs ... huh. I wish I knew.

And I guess I don't go with the double pack. I just go and get the single dvds of Transformers & Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen cause I kinda wanna watch Transformers real bad. Lol ^_^

yea with the cinema it's true...but it shouldnt take like 2 months longer for that. Yea well, guess I'm just impatient lol

you really have to watch the first one...it's awesome...and hilarious. The first one has a lot of funny scenes. I love love love those movies. I wanna see the second one again right now! *is impatient again* lol

The latest spectacular adventure in the wildly popular TRANSFORMERS franchise will make its highly-anticipated DVD and Blu-ray debut on October 20, 2009 in immersive, two-disc Special Editions, as well as on a single disc DVD, from DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures in association with Hasbro; distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment. The eagerly-awaited home entertainment premiere will be accompanied by one of the division's biggest marketing campaigns ever, generating awareness and excitement of galactic proportions.

The Blu-ray and two-disc DVD packages also will feature augmented reality technology that will allow owners to interact with a holographic image of OPTIMUS PRIME utilizing their webcams and a special website. The TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen two-disc Special Edition DVD is presented in widescreen enhanced for 16:9 televisions with Dolby Digital English 5.1 Surround, French 5.1 Surround and Spanish 5.1 Surround with English, French and Spanish subtitles. The Blu-ray will be presented in 1080p high definition with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, French 5.1 Dolby Digital and Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital with English, English SDH, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese subtitles. I have checked out today when the Movie will come out here in Switzerland and one that one online store it says November 19th. Would be effin cool I think Germany isn't different with the DVD release then Switzerland I guess. So for you guys it's prolly the same date
